During the Thanksgiving break, I had some time to reflect on all the work that has been done by my Globaloria students. I must say that in the face of so many obstacles (days w/o class time to work, days w/o software, days w/o Internet, days w/o computers, illnesses, ballgames, interruptions, etc.) my students have accomplished a great deal, especially when you consider that they are piloting this Globaloria project at CRHS. We all know that those who "blaze the trail" have the more difficult task and my students have had more than their share of difficulties. So, a round of applause goes to my almost "Newbies" in 6th period!!
I know, I know...we still have some areas to tweak and that will happen. But, generally speaking, my students are doing well and they still are having fun while they learn....and so am I!
It's a G-(Globaloria) Life serves to convey the ways that student's work fundamentally change as a reflection of the new strategies that we are implementing as a Globaloria Team.

Time flies...
Wow, I didn't realize that I had not posted for a month! A lot has happened since I last created a post. My students have learned so much about their game, their team mates and how to use Flash. I thought they were excited before, but once they learned how to make objects move in Flash, they were thrilled and so was I. However, they still want to be able to work from home or on their own time. We desparately need laptops that can be checked out.
What can I say...this is just what I/we want from our students!
